Pofessor Bluebird walked outside into thhe grounds. It was a lovly day for giving away kittens. With the basket full of kitten in both hands she strolled to a sunny spot next to the lake adn flicked her wand. A small stall appeared with a big banner on it syaing:
[glow=red,2,300]FREE KITTENS!!!!!![/glow]
She stared at the basket and saw something very strange. In the sea of cream she saw a black. Quickly seh reached forward and picked it up. A small black and white kitten purred up at her.
'He must be a stray' she thougth but put him back into the basket. He was quite cute and some loving student must like to buy him.

Hel was walking around the grounds, her mind lost in thought. She was deeply missing her pets. At her home she had a tonne of them, but they had never had a cat. Her mother was allergic to them, but strangley, not to dogs.
She was about to head back into the castle when a large sigh caught her eyes.
FREE KITTENS
Her heart lept, and she rushed over. She said a hurried Hello Prof. Bluebird and went straight over to the basket. In the basket where about half a dozen kittens, all cream.
At the sight of her they all scurried to the front of the basket and looked imploringly at her. All except one. At the back of the basket there was a black and white kitten, just sitting there cleaning itself.
Her heart melted at the sight, and carefully picked it up and looked into it's eyes. It stared innocently back up at her. She smiled at it and discretly checked its sex. It was a boy. She hugged it, thinking of a name. Finally her mind settled on Jack, after her great-grandfather and she looked up at the teacher.
"I'll think I'll have this one thanks."

"Good Choice!" prof. Bluebird said in a cheery voice. "he's a stray and I thought he might be a bit hard to give away but, well, look at this. First one to have a home!"
"Remember to keep him warm because he's a stray he'll have probably slept in dustbins or other cold places so he might have a cold."

Hel smiled gladly, "Yep, I'll do that, thanks!"
And with that she walked off into the Entrance Hall, feeling a lot better off than she had earlier that morning, Jack clamped firmly in her arms.
